keys.

i saw these from tiffany and co. a few weeks ago and fell in love. too bad i'm not rich.

because of that fact i decided to make my own. i bought 3 vintage skeleton keys at an antique shop for $12 and a vintage, brass, jail key for $7 {because its just so cute}. i think they look pretty good for like 10% of the cost.

oh how i love diys.

presies.

i had surgery last week ...

the good thing about having surgery is getting presents to help you cope. katie brought me some delectable cupcakes from so cupcake, my grandma gave me some mangoes and nuts, and my parents gave me a lovely lavender plant.

lavender plants = the best plant.
it needs full sun and not a ton of attention or water, but it smells and looks so marvelous. i can't wait for this.
that's all.

little gems.

here are some more gems i've found in my treasure seeking days of post.graduation:
my mother grew up on a farm. stories from her childhood are comprised of playing cowboys and indians in the open fields of canada. this is her feeding a lamb with a baby bottle.

i love this picture of my mom because i have adopted the glasses and earrings in this picture into my own wardrobe. it just reminds me of every picture of me, with a huge, cheesy smile on my face.

this is my mom in the tub. cute.

i found my mom's wedding suit last week and of course, it was amazing. it was equally amazing on monday when i found a picture of her in it.

oh how i love having nothing to do.

what a degree in psychology gets you.

since obtaining my degree, i have been less than active. i wake up late, watch the price is right, make delicious lunches, then sit around till paige gets home. then we party. its been fun.

i'm glad to announce that i have been reading {something i never do} and doing lots of organizing {something i always do}. yesterday i cleaned and organized my parent's computer room and came upon this little number.

it was my mother's "wedding suit". when i asked my dad if he remembered what it was he said "of course i do, its the first thing i took off of your mother." which was promptly followed by "ewwww!" from paige and i.

i'm also getting a fair share of shopping in. last weekend i bought a foundation brush {best thing ever} and russian red lipstick from mac. i never knew how liberating a color of lipstick could be. its great.

and today ... i finally cut my hair!

i hope your spring is going as lovely as mine.
